From Sept. 14th to Sept. 21st thirty-six students and three teachers of our school had the opportunity to experience an exciting and interesting language week in St. Julians in Malta.

Our eight days together were filled with various trips around the island of Malta, including a treasure hunt in Valetta – UNESCO world heritage site, a boat trip into the Blue Grotto and an excursion to Gozo. Not only did our students experience the culture of Malta, but they could also improve their English at a language school and in conversation with their host families. Here are some of our student‘s impressions:

The teachers were very nice, funny and we learnt a lot. It was a very nice atmosphere. Each of us stayed with an English speaking Maltese host family. It was an excellent way to practice our English and it was great to experience the Maltese way of life.

Our visit to Valletta was beautiful, the city is full of character, history and culture. We also had a very exciting excursion to Gozo. The ferry took us to Gozo and we enjoyed the ride very much. The scenery along the way was really amazing and Gozo is a beautiful little island. My English improved in this week and I can fully recommend the language week in St. Julians/ Malta to other students. (Nathalie)

We think that Malta was cool and all of us loved it there. The one thing we liked most was the trip to Gozo, the sea there is stunning blue. In fact it was an exhausting week but also very interesting, exciting and really funny. We are very thankful that we could go to Malta. (Luise, Laura)
